About The Founder

An experienced and renowned chiropractor, Michael Sheps, DC, provides personalized, patient-centered care at Pacific Coast Orthopedic Sports Medicine in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. 

Dr. Sheps takes a proactive approach to health at the Westside practice, educating his patients about the daily self-care and rehabilitation techniques that truly lead to long-term wellness.

Dedicated to his profession and patients, Dr. Sheps’ patent-pending pain management protocols have won the trust of gold-medal Olympic athletes, the United States Department of Defense’s Wounded Warrior Program, Hollywood celebrities, and countless others. 

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology at Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Dr. Sheps continued his education, completing his Bachelor of Science in nutrition at Life University (formerly known as Life Chiropractic College) in Marietta, Georgia. He then went on to complete a Masters of Science from Philadelphia College of Textiles in 1982. 

He continued his educational journey at Life University, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic. After completing his training, Dr. Sheps relocated to West Los Angeles, where he continues to participate in continuing education and training programs to perfect his care and provide the most current treatments for his patients.

Dr. Sheps is certified in chiropractic orthopedics and rehabilitation, Logan Basic Technique, Thompson Technique, and Palmer Method. He’s also credentialed in the McKenzie Method®, certified in cervical and lumbar MedX®, and a certified therapist in VAX-D®. 

Dr. Sheps holds a California Board of Chiropractic Examiners license and is a California Workers’ Compensation disability evaluator. He specializes in sports medicine, laser therapy, VAX-D spinal decompression, and lymphedema treatment. 

Outside of his clinic care, Dr. Sheps is the company chiropractor and a member of the board of directors of Barak Ballet.
